Office hours- Monday

Jaina hated everything today.

One day as a guy, fine. Whatever, she'd deal, she'd done it before. Waking up as a guy for two days in a row meant she just wanted to hit things. She'd tried, too, but the fact was, training was just different with a body she wasn't used to. She could work certain muscles or do whatever drills she wanted, but it wasn't going to do any good; sure, it was interesting to see what you could do when you were taller and your strength came from somewhere different, but Jaina trained to work towards something. Working out because it was interesting was pointless. Also, looking like Jacen was really weird for reasons she probably didn't need to go into and some she hadn't expected.

She hadn't really planned to go to her office today, but now without training to do, and completely irritated, she figured she might as well plan out something simple for class tomorrow. If this continued, that was just going to cause problems she did not want to deal with.

John stalked in the office toting a brown bag of class leftovers and slammed the door behind him. "Seriously, what is with women and torture? I mean, one minute of this thing digging into my side and I'm done. Over it." He tossed the food down on her desk and started tugging at the band of his bra through his t-shirt.

"Hey, you don't have a rack like this one," John said, pushing at his boobs for emphasis before tugging on a patch-free BDU jacket he'd retrieved from his office. "I think there's a law."

John dropped into a chair, kicking his feet up on her desk. "If we're stuck in this hell tomorrow I'm gonna be wishing there were wraith here to put me out of my misery."

"At least he's not a stranger," John pointed out. "Oh! Your face was in my class today. So weirdly young."

"Right, that one who looks kinda like Jacen," John nodded. "Now that. That was a shocker." He really didn't need to spend an hour staring at teen Jaina.

"Not like I could ask the kid to step outside," John pointed out. "It was fine." He kept his mouth full. "Just weird."

"Why? Because you're old now?" At least he could still smirk really well with this face.

He watched her for a moment and shook his hair back over his shoulders. "I thought you might appreciate the food."

"Hey, I won't keep this girlish figure if I eat all the class leftovers by myself," he joked. "Besides, I know you're a fan of Chinese food." Even if there was no garage involved.

"How do you skip meals like that?" John wondered. "Maybe I'm just too used to hanging around with big eaters. McKay would have a fit if we missed a meal. I learned to carry extra powerbars in my vest just in case."

John grabbed a paper carton and a fork and went after some Chinese surprise. "Well, clearly I was meant to be your supplier today. At least for this meal."

"Now dinner I haven't decided on, but you know I wouldn't turn you away if I found you on my doorstep looking for food." His description only sounded like a lost puppy because it helped them both save face.

"The way you cook I gotta say that's very nearly appropriate."

[identity profile] missed-the-gate.livejournal.com 2010-10-19 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey now, don't discount your skills, I recall you being capable of a mean frozen pizza." Because preheating the oven was cooking on some planets. "Though we could put you to the test."

[identity profile] missed-the-gate.livejournal.com 2010-10-19 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Putting you in charge of dinner." It was likely to end with a stomachache.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure I've got eggs and bread just in case," John teased. Dinner could always be saved by an egg sandwich.

"Tomorrow. Your place." Mainly because he didn't think she owned any cooking utensils and that would be funny. "Then if we're still stuck this way, we can plan out a murder-suicide."

"Should I pack a first aid kit?"
