After being extracted from Ylesia, having to give debriefings, and helping to usher refugees where they needed to go, Jaina was more than happy to be able to go as off duty as she tended to get. As trips went, this had been pretty successful: she got work done, completed an operation that went completely off the rails and survived.

Once she'd sent her pilots on their way and successfully not hit Jag, she was able to pull John back to her quarters, figuring neither of them would be missed for some unwind time.

"I never want to do that again," she announced, turning on the lights inside the room.

Jaina grinned. "I've never heard Lowie referred to that way."

John had a simple explanation. "That's because I'm not from this galaxy."

"That's right. You're still a visitor." She just liked being able to call him that.

He knew she'd like that. "Always will be on this side."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure no matter how long you're here, you'd still be renaming planets. I can only imagine what you'd do with some species names."

"There's a dozen seasons of Galaxy Quest that have provided me with plenty of replacement names for species," he informed her. "I'm not worried I'll run out."

"I've immediately decided I don't want to know," she stated.

"Someday you'll find out anyway," he promised.

"I can't say you don't keep things interesting."

"I get the feeling that's why you brought me along."

"You think that's why?" she asked.

"it's as good a reason as any," John decided. "Even if it's wrong."

"It might be a reason..."

"But right now I'm thinking you brought me to be your pillow." Another job he was fine with, really.

"That's another one. You're so much better than military standard." Which was true, and she snuggled closer just to drive that point home.

"Deadpool did always say I had a lot of extra meat on my bones." Not that he did.

"I think his pajamas mess with his vision," she said. "I'm the one that sees you naked."

John stared for a moment. "I hope he hasn't seen me naked. Of course, there's always the video feed."

Jaina looked confused for a moment... right up until she remembered the garage. And then there was some cursing.

John chuckled. "Can't say we never get carried away."

"Because that would be a huge lie. You don't think anyone's watched it, do you?" Oh, if only she knew about the cameras in the theater's break room.

"Nah, who cares about watching the garage?" He shrugged. Or the restroom of that pool place. Or potentially the theater break room.

Jaina thought about this, an stated bluntly, "We get carried away a lot."

"I'm not sure I see the bad in that."

[solo_sword]

"There's only bad in the recording sense," she said. "Which I think just means no more sex in the garage." Recording in any of the other places had not occurred to her.
