Front lawn, Thursday after classes

Walking back to the dorms, Jaina figured she could be totally blind and still be able to tell it had snowed. And that it was good snow. And that she'd made a sort of promise that she thought it was only fair of her to keep. Mwahahaha.

She let John go ahead just enough that she could bend down and scoop up some of the snow in her gloved hands, patting it together into a little ball, and lobbing it at his back.

[For the attackee, and I so fail at post-writing.]

John, carrying droid babies Steve and Bob, froze upon being hit in the back by a snowball. He should have expected that. He turned to frown at her, "Do you realize you could have hit the children?"

"No, of course not," John rolled his eyes. "I'm sure it was the squirrel over in the tree."

John bent to set the twins down on the ground. "Yep, and here's yours," he said, scooping up a fistful of snow in his glove as he stood and throwing it at her.

He didn't bother to try not to laugh, "You started it!" He exclaimed, bending to form another snowball to quickly lob at her. No degree of blindness got her out of a snowball fight.

Taking it in the side of the head, he brushed the snow off his collar as he sought the shelter of a nearby tree. "This means war!"

There was plenty of snow left under the shade of the coniferous tree. John spent a moment making a little stockpile of snowballs before daring to move out into the open and toss one in her direction.

Smacked in the leg, John's ears perked up at the prospects of a damp shirt. "Oh no, not the shirt!"

"Promises, promises!" If he hadn't been ogling hopefully, he probably wouldn't have ended up with a mouthful of snow.

Quickly grabbing up some snow while she laughed, he ran toward her, hoping to add to her shirt's collection of snow if he could catch her.

"Give us a hug" he said, opening his arms, snowball held tight in one fist, as he continued trying to get closer.

"Another promise?" he asked, still moving toward her with that snowball, secure that she wouldn't really hurt him. At least, he didn't think she would...

Stepping forward, he was nothing if not determined. "Are we talking bone breaking hurt?" And curious.

"It's a snowball," he said, glancing down at it. "I'm going to put it down your shirt." At least he was honest.
