MHA #12- Saturday morning
As soon as Jaina had clued in to what was happening this week, she'd taken off. If the town was going to go crazy like that, she'd decided she would rather spend the time with her boyfriend, for reasons, and that turned out to be a smart decision. And all right, she'd gotten in too early yesterday to bypass the weirdness completely, but she had nothing to complain about today, so she wasn't even going to worry about that.
This morning it was all about getting back to routine. She'd spent the very early part of it training, and now she'd designated a corner of her living room to doing some upgrades on Rowdy. She was also thinking maybe she was a little too time-lagged to be snarked at this early, but really, that was all her own fault.
[For the kid!]

It was always awkward having to say something like that.

No, really. Oh, GFFA.
"And I'm going to take a wild guess and say your dad is Eric." Because look at him.

God help you if you don't have Cheerios, Jaina.

"You're not going to get anything if you keep on like that," Jaina told him.

Cheerios were serious business.

"Okay," she said, kneeling in front of him. "How about this. We get something else for breakfast and get Cheerios for later?"
no subject
"...ice cream?"

Was this how negotiating worked?
no subject
"Waffles?" he tried.

She somehow feared it might be a bit of an ordeal.

Which she should apparently just keep in her apartment from now on just in case of child invasions.
