Room 313, Sunday night

Jaina tried to keep her mess restricted to the garage, mostly for Inara's sake rather than her own. Besides, rediscovering lost spare parts in bare feet was never fun, which was why she was collecting all the pieces for the toaster experiment into containers to bring back down there.

And then occasionally trying to throw them into said containers from a distance away out of boredom.

John knocked on the door, never sure when there might be a Gavin and Inara behind it. Mexico had possibly scarred him.

She didn't even look up, making her next shot easily. It wasn't like she didn't know who it was. "Come in!"

Entering the room, he took a look at what she was up to, "No more laser toaster?"

"I fixed the toaster. I've decided it can do without weaponry," she said. Because she wasn't being an emo bitch about things now. "For now."

Oh, the disappointment. "That's too bad. I was hoping to have something that could both make a tasty breakfast and save me from the gremlins."

"I'm not saying it'll never happen," she said, scooping the rest of the pieces up to put away.

"What is happening now?" he asked. "Other than the cleaning up."

"Nothing," she said. "It's been quiet, I haven't really been working on anything... How about you?"

"The usual Sunday stuff," he shrugged. "Followed by the usual Sunday boredom. There must be something about having class tomorrow."

"You'd think we'd appreciate the boredom more, knowing we won't have it tomorrow," she mused, and got up to take a seat on the bed.

"Or maybe the anticipation of activity is just too much," he offered, moving to join her on the bed.

"Somehow I doubt that's it," she said with a little smile.

"Let me know if you think of something better," he said.

"I thought Sundays were full of bored inactivity. You really want me to come up with things?" she teased.

"I might have to take back the inactive part," John said. "Given I did have practice and there was action."

"Oh, that's right," she said. "How'd it go?"

"The usual. But with team bonding shirt-making," he said. "If you'd have come, I'd have made you one."

"But I'm not part of the team," Jaina pointed out.

"It's not unheard of for supporters to wear team jerseys," he replied.

"True. Looks like I should have interrupted the bonding then." Said she who'd never even heard of Bedazzlers.

"Maybe I'll make you one anyway," John told her. It would be scary if not creative.

Evey was bored, and felt that enough time had passed since That Incident With the Dancing, so she found herself wandering across the hall to knock lightly on Jaina and Inara's door.

"Thanks." Poor Jaina. "Have you been itching to get creative or something?"

Jaina hadn't had nearly enough contact with Evey to be able to get a sense for when she was nearby, so she got to be curious for once when she called "Come in!" since between her and the door were several machine parts.

"No, just encouraged by Andrew," John said. "He does some pretty fantastic air brushing."
