Room 313, Thursday evening

Jaina was actually sort of excited for the weekend. Going back to Coruscant wasn't all that thrilling to her, but she was glad to finally be able to show it to John, and let him meet... whoever in her family was going to be at the rendezvous. Now all she had to do was hope nothing got attacked like what usually happened when she went home.

For now, she was "packing", which consisted of throwing a few things into a bag and deciding she was good for now.

[I haven't played in like three days. Open open open open. Door too.]

He should know better than to stop at the third floor on his way to the fifth when he was coming from Caritas, but there he was, hanging on the door frame and smiling. "Taking bets on how this is gonna go?"

"I am being positive," John decided even if he really wasn't sure.

"Except they don't know," John pointed out, drumming his fingers on the door frame.

"Anything special I should pack for another galaxy?"

He nodded, considering what weapons he might have on hand. "Is the flight particularly boring?"

"So I should bring some Mad Libs?" he teased.

"It's a fill in the blank game for kids," John replied. "I hear it's good for boring car rides."

"I'll try to get my hands on one before we leave, then," John said. He'd be lucky if she didn't try to shoot him out an airlock with the game.

He figured he could at least walk in the room if she was going to kill his buzz with serious-ish questions. "Honestly? This is new territory."

"No." He sat and then sort of flopped backward, potentially looser than usual with drink. "Okay, yes. But you can't tell me you wouldn't be if things were reversed."

He looked up at her. "Oh, I'll get through," he was determined there. He was more worried that he wouldn't meet expectations. The problems that came with caring.

"I'd assume as much. I'll be fine once we're in space." Because he'd be happily distracted with stars and aliens and things.

"Pay no attention to the kid with the weird hair."

"If I close my eyes, I could stop being here." It made sense. If you'd had a couple drinks.

"Let's find out," John said, closing his eyes. Of course he was still there, but he could pretend.
