Mon Calamari, Friday Fandom time

John's arrival had earned Jaina her first day off work while on her vacation. Yes, first. It wasn't even her fault this trip, either. But finally saying "Enough" and being able to take her boyfriend around to see the city was a welcome relief.

After taking him around for a bit, they found a nice pier somewhere to hang out on for a while, and Jaina looked out over the water, asking, "This a good place to stop for a while?"

"This looks really good," John nodded. It felt strangely right to be hanging out on an alien pier wearing the panda skull backup t-shirt and backup jeans he'd stolen from Jaina's room before leaving Fandom.

"I can't believe it took me this long to be able to look around," Jaina admitted, and teased, "Thanks for coming. And not just because you're getting me off work."

"I'm glad to be here, and not just to get you to take a break," he replied.

"Did I pull you away from a lot of exciting things?" Yes, that would be her wondering where the outfit came from.

"Well, let's just say you might need to take me shopping before the big ceremony," John said with a little head tilt.

She looked up at him, trying to guess. "You didn't throw all your clothes off the roof, did you?"

John gave her a pointed look. "No. They all went missing."

"Gavin?"

"His clothes went missing, too," John informed her. "I'm just glad I remembered you had one of my shirts and these pants before I got on the transport."

"The emergency clothes continue to be a good idea." It was a little alarming for the types of reasons they continued to be a good idea, yes. "So do you know why they disappeared?"

"There were signs about a laundry machine strike, but stuff just disappeared, too so I have no clue. You might be missing some things, too." She was lucky if she'd managed to keep most of her clothes.

Jaina sighed. "I'm beginning to wish I didn't pack so light, I might've potentially saved more of my stuff. Not funny, Fandom."

"No complaining. At least you have a full outfit to wear," John pointed out.

"Oh, I can complain," Jaina said. "Especially when one of my full outfits is my uniform."

"Yeah, that doesn't sound so bad to me," he replied. "Talk to me when you don't have any socks or underwear."

Yeah, she was really sick of her uniform these days. It was the "vacation" thing getting to her, she thought. "...Do you not have underwear?" she wondered.

John made a face and shrugged. "I wasn't gonna wear the same pair for four days." And hand washing was beyond out of the question.

Jaina had to laugh. She had to. "I'm sorry," she said immediately. "It's just that now I know you're probably going to be talking to my parents while not wearing any."

"Oh you just had to go there," John said, making a face of disgust.

"I'm sorry," she said, still giggling as she reached out to rub his arm. "I am."

"I've met you," he replied, still not amused. "You're not sorry at all."

"I am," she insisted, sobering. "We can go shopping before we go back there, no problem."

"Thank you," John nodded once. "I wouldn't want to embarrass you with your family."

"You wouldn't," she said, and it was her turn to make the face. "They love you."
