Room 313, Monday after 4th period

After class, Jaina went back to her room to move in. She was an extremely light packer, so it took about two minutes to unpack, especially when she knew most of it would just end up going back upstairs. And she'd wonder about that for a second, because somehow she never really realized she did that.

And for as much as she'd never really had a permanent home in recent memory, she had to take a second to flop down on her bed, just because it was her bed, and she was used to it, and there were full walls and a door she could close and there was one roommate, not seven... Yes, she really had gotten spoiled here somehow.

[Open door, open post. Apparently I am just posting posting posting today.]

"You're not allowed to break my bike," he said, sliding off the bed.

"Sure you wouldn't," he teased. "No pushing her too hard too fast." Yes, he was talking like Jaina didn't know how to drive her.

"Not mine," he said. "There are extra rules, you know." They might involve kissing the owner.

"Okay then. First, no getting pulled over by the men in white."

"You have to drive with two hands. No tricks." He was just making shit up.

"You also have to pull your hair back and wear a helmet." Never mind that John did not intend to wear safety equipment.

"No, it's okay, I'm slated for death tomorrow," he reminded her. "Also, no crashing. No chewing gum. No flip flops. And you have to show your gratitude to the owner."

Happy to oblige, he leaned down to help her with that. "You should take it seriously every step of the way."

"We will once we're on the bike," he said, always happy to see her smile.

"Then move your butt, we don't have all day," he grinned, reaching to give her a little love tap on the rear.
