Valentine's Day this year was sort of being done on the fly, which was more than fine by Jaina. She'd been expecting to just ignore the holiday altogether. She and John had had the dance last night, and today involved movie night. Because someone had to finally find out what "twitterpated" meant, and apparently a viewing of the meta for Bambi was the only way that was going to happen.

So after getting everything set up and getting the movie started and getting comfortable, Jaina noticed, "This is a cartoon."

Someone also had apparently not come to realize that animation was not always an insult to anyone over the age of five, but then again, she'd met Jar Jar Binks.

"Me either. Apparently I have a knack for recognizing a fake life when I'm stuck in one?" John wished this wasn't true. "But my friend Teyla was stuck in the dream thing with me, so after I kind of had to explain what was going on there."

It was weird sometimes, knowing things that happened in his future, because Jaina completely remembered that John ended up godfather to that woman's kid. It made her decide if he was going to tell one person, he'd told a good one. "Probably no good to let her wonder who that girl was," she said, and added, "That was a bad fake. I wouldn't have gotten hit."

"You wouldn't have done a lot of things," John agreed. "But anyway, the point is that I like keeping my personal life...personal."

"Why?" There might have been a tiny part of her that wondered if he just didn't want people to know about her for some reason, or if he was just being that secretive.

"Well, I was kind of the boss and the rumor mill in that place is pretty intense," John explained. "And you're mine. No one else should get to know unless I want them to."

She could get behind that explanation. She'd been pretty good most of the time with him in front of her squadron, too. "All right. I'll refrain from sending the email full of copied and pasted 'I love you's like I was planning." She would so never do that.

"I'd shoot you as an impostor for that, too."

"Maybe you should just stay on my good side, then," she challenged. It was probably wrong to use an 'I love you' as blackmail...

"You should use a different word," he offered.

"What word would that be?" Call her curious.

"That's just mean," she almost laughed. Potentially to him.

Jaina smiled, nodding. "I've got it."

"Oh really?" Yes, he clearly wanted to know what she had.
