The streets of Fandom- Thursday evening

Jaina had conveniently- or not so conveniently- missed any signs telling everyone what the fog did, or giving out masks because she couldn't be out like a dumbass if she saw those, la so she was out without one tonight. For as freaked out as she'd been yesterday, that was exactly why she was out again today. So, okay, she'd snapped yesterday, or had something mess with her, or something, but that didn't change the fact that she still had a bad feeling that wouldn't go away and she thought she could handle this. She just had to try and control her own reactions better.

It didn't help that she kept hearing things like growls and roars coming from somewhere, but she kept telling herself to ignore it. She kept telling herself that a lot. Especially since she wasn't even sure where exactly she was at this point, thanks to not being able to see hardly anything ahead of her.

And gee, it'd suck for her to figure out today that the things were actually attacking now, huh?

[For one!]

Lois did have a mask on tonight. They were tacky as hell but it was better than going crazyflakes. It's not like anybody could see her looking like a dork anyway, with the fog this thick. She was just trying to get back to the dorms as quickly as possible without running into the things making all the weird growly noises.

She couldn't, however, ignore a person-shaped image in the fog when she saw it. Lois figured she'd get to the dorms faster using the buddy system. "Hellllllo?"

Lois lifted up her mask when she recognized the voice, a little bit insulted that someone thought she sounded like a man. "Jaina?"

Lois might be the dumber one because she naturally took hearing Jaina's voice again as a sign to make her way towards her, no matter what she said. "It's me, Lois. I know, fog does nothing for my complexion."

Lois stopped dead in her tracks and held up her hands. Okay, obviously Jaina didn't get the gas mask memo. "Whoa, whoa, calm down. I'm not what you think I am."

Yeah, even Lois wasn't dumb enough to get near Jaina when she was like that. She was more than ready to bolt, but she felt bad about leaving Jaina out here hallucinating like a crazy person.

"Okay, I'll leave in a second," she said. Lois looked down at the mask in her hand and figured that Jaina needed it more than her right now. So she tossed the gas mask towards Jaina and got herself ready to run her ass off if she saw the glowy part of the stick thingy make an appearance.

She was somehow confident that she'd be able to make it back to the dorms before she started seeing crazy things herself. No wonder she'd have to be rescued all the time in the future.

Lois rolled her eyes. Jedi. "Fine, be crazy! I don't care!"

She of course said this as she was quickly backing away because the glowy blade thingy had made an appearance and she did have some brains, thank you.

Lois didn't really need the last warning. She didn't feel like dying today, thank you. With one last worried look at Jaina, Lois turned and ran off towards the dorms.
