The streets of Fandom- Thursday evening
Jaina had conveniently- or not so conveniently- missed any signs telling everyone what the fog did, or giving out masks because she couldn't be out like a dumbass if she saw those, la so she was out without one tonight. For as freaked out as she'd been yesterday, that was exactly why she was out again today. So, okay, she'd snapped yesterday, or had something mess with her, or something, but that didn't change the fact that she still had a bad feeling that wouldn't go away and she thought she could handle this. She just had to try and control her own reactions better.
It didn't help that she kept hearing things like growls and roars coming from somewhere, but she kept telling herself to ignore it. She kept telling herself that a lot. Especially since she wasn't even sure where exactly she was at this point, thanks to not being able to see hardly anything ahead of her.
And gee, it'd suck for her to figure out today that the things were actually attacking now, huh?
[For one!]

She couldn't, however, ignore a person-shaped image in the fog when she saw it. Lois figured she'd get to the dorms faster using the buddy system. "Hellllllo?"

"If you're Zayne again, I'm going to be so mad," she called.

"All right, I'll take that to mean you're not Zayne, because two days in a row would just be mean," she said, moving toward the sounds to investigate. No one had ever taught her to have any sense of self-preservation, and it probably showed.

"If you know what's good for you, you'll go away," she said, even amplifying her voice with the Force some, just to try and get the message across.

"Okay, I'll leave in a second," she said. Lois looked down at the mask in her hand and figured that Jaina needed it more than her right now. So she tossed the gas mask towards Jaina and got herself ready to run her ass off if she saw the glowy part of the stick thingy make an appearance.
She was somehow confident that she'd be able to make it back to the dorms before she started seeing crazy things herself. No wonder she'd have to be rescued all the time in the future.

Without any idea what it was, that was when her own defensve instincts really did kick in. She did ignite her lightsaber, but not to attack. No, her first reaction was to bat whatever it was away with the blade.
So, if the mask was a little ruined, hopefully at least it wasn't a rental?

She of course said this as she was quickly backing away because the glowy blade thingy had made an appearance and she did have some brains, thank you.
