Outside Snow Monster- Sunday morning
For once Jaina had woken up a little late, and then it was an incoming call from her comlink that woke her. It was probably sad that she'd automatically reached for both it and her phone to take them outside so as not to disturb anyone, but considering it'd been kind of a long call, it was probably a good move on her part.
After she'd thumbed it off, she stayed sitting on the front steps, off to the side so she wouldn't be in anyone's way. And she'd just leaned her head against the side of the cabin, closing her eyes. Not sleeping, just honestly resting her eyes. For now, at least.
[So, so open. Bored and icky-feeling so I rely on you, game, to keep me entertained.]

What she really needed was a therapist, not-boyfriend cuddles and to get out of Fandom. But she could settle.

It was right about five minutes later that she returned with a enormous mug of black coffee for Jaina and a mug of hot chocolate for herself. "See? Coffee and doughnuts. I can totally deliver what I promise."

And she was going to end up weathered and old-looking like all the rest of the female guardians anyway. Might as well enjoy it while she could.

"Thanks," she said, meaning it. Then, trying for lighter way to ask how things were going, she asked, "So how fun are you to be around these days?"
