Room 313, Sunday afternoon

After yesterday's trip into the common room, Jaina decided maybe she'd stick to her own room today, at least until she knew this current bout of Fandom weirdness was over. She could only deal with so much patheticness in one weekend and she was pretty sure she'd filled her quota of being yelled at, cried at and accused of liking other boys better.

So until then she was going to keep working on her homework. With the door closed.

"I'm good any day," he said. "Other than Wednesday when I'm planning on having a torrid affair with Andrew."

"About time you two crazy kids got together," she deadpanned.

"Yeah, it's been a long time coming," John sighed.

She shifted to be able to pat his leg. "Let me know how it goes."

"I'll be sure to keep you posted," he said.

"Should we plan for Thursday then?" she asked.

"It's a pajama date," he said, rubbing her arm lightly.

"I can't believe I'm looking forward to seeing pajamas," she said, shaking her head at herself. "You see what you do to me?"

"No, what did I do?" he asked, because there were just too many options.

"Anyone else would at the very least be getting weird looks from me for even suggesting it," she told him.

"Well, I'd hope so," he said, giving her a weird look. "Otherwise I might have to rethink that jealousy thing."

"Hypothetically," she clarified. "No rethinking necessary."

"Good, 'cause I'm not very fond of rethinking," John said. "And can I just say how glad I am that today is not yesterday?"

"You can," she said teasingly, smiling up at him.

"I'm thrilled that today is not yesterday," he repeated, making a face down at her. "You know, we've talked about my crazy stuff but not about yours. Why's that?"

"Because I didn't have any crazy stuff?" she offered. She had stuff to repress, that was different.

"You don't?" he thought about that, and recalled that, sadly, that was more of his crazy stuff he was thinking of in a way. "Oh well, more time for the non-talking part of your homework break."

"My crazy stuff is less fun and more traumatic anyway," she assured him. "There's a non-talking part of my break?"

"Traumatic like you're trying not to talk about it or you ought to but you were waiting for me to ask?" he wondered. "And there doesn't have to be a non-talking part, but we'd be breaking our resolution."

"Traumatic like I'd really much rather not break our resolution," said Jaina, who fell very solidly into the first thing he'd said.

He wasn't about to make her tell him anything, figuring if it was really important she would've already. "Well, let's see if we can even remember how this worked," he said, sliding down so his face was closer to hers.

Proving that she remembered just fine, she tilted her face up to kiss him lightly.

He met her lips gently. When he pulled back a little, he smirked. "Are you sure it was like that? I was thinking of something that had a little more umph, you know?"

She raised her eyebrows, accepting the challenge. "Like this?" she asked, kissing him harder this time.

"Mm, better," he said, pulling back a little. "But you know, Andrew grabbed my ass while we made out."
