Jaina got in later than expected, and by now she was thinking that even without the end of the multiverse, Portalocity just liked jacking her around. She appreciated it a lot less when she was in a not-great mood to begin with. At least yelling had made her feel a tiny bit better?

She checked in, unpacked since she'd be here a few days, then sent out a quick text to people to let them know she was in town and where she was, since she was big on shielding at the moment. And then she took a seat in the middle of her bed, hoping that maybe she could actually manage some meditation.

So far? Not going so well.

Amazingly, today hadn't gone badly as Jaina had feared. And she hadn't sung once, which, under the circumstances, was probably a really good thing. That didn't however mean that she was wanting to be spending a lot of time letting herself think too hard for too long. Besides, doing nothing when she came all this way was boring.

So if she ended up finding Eric, that really shouldn't be a surprise by now. And if one thing led to another, that should probably be even less of a surprise. And if it resulted in any sort of destruction of property... okay, well, that was new.

Jaina liked when the island traveled. She liked getting out and seeing the new places and the people and how they did things. She traveled all the time back home, but she never got to really see much, and frankly when you were usually chasing after criminals, you weren't in the best areas anyway. So not only did she get to check out someplace new, she got to do so with an actual Viking. One who spoke English, even.

As they headed towards the tavern to meet some of the locals- and possible viewing of barfights- she said, "This is going to be so different with someone who can actually understand the language."

Okay. So. Obviously this week was one of those weeks. The last time this had happened, Jaina was completely fine with it, due to having a boyfriend she could lock herself in a room with for a few days. When you were single and didn't have that option and this all hadn't ended after a few days, it wasn't as fun. It was frustrating. And you might think training might take some of the edge off, but no. It didn't.

She put up with that for two whole days before basically deciding screw it, if she was going to have this little friendly arrangement, this was a very good time to take advantage of it. Which was how she ended up heading over to MHA and knocking on the door of a certain basement apartment and thinking he better be home. And that no one else should be there.

Jaina had had a good night that turned into a weird night that turned into a really rough morning involving a monster hangover.

Come afternoon, sleep, water, food and a few Jedi techniques had left her feeling fine except for some residual fuzzy-headedness and a slight headache, but it wasn't anything she couldn't deal with. Oh, and there was some embarrassment. She might not remember everything, exactly, but she remembered the important stuff and that was what mattered.

She was trying to ignore it in order to pack for her trip home, sticking to the essentials she'd need for a week Fandom time, and making calls to a few people to let them know she was going and that she'd be around till tonight. And she might have checked to make sure her comlink was packed about a dozen times already. Call her paranoid about leaving Anakin's messages behind.

Last night Jaina had met with her dead little brother. It had kind of thrown off her week.

The weird thing was, Jaina mostly felt better for it. If you'd asked her three days ago how she would react to Anakin Solo wandering around and letting her hug him because she could actually touch him, she probably would have yelled and stomped off because that was a cruel question. But at the same time... she got to see Anakin again. It wouldn't ever fix things or make it all better, but at least there was some sort of closure. There was also a lot of guilt that the rest of her family back home didn't get that, questions of whether she should tell them about this, an urge to check on Tahiri, and then a listen to radio told her that her dead grandmother should be walking around here, too.

So a day later Jaina was going to the one person who just tended to add some sense of normalcy to even this sort of thing, and knocked on the door to #-1, hoping he was okay with this.

To say Jaina had some nerves going would be putting it lightly. If you'd told her a week ago that she'd be in England to meet up with her ex who... well, saying he might not be her ex anymore felt like jinxing it so she was really not going to say that. But if you told her she'd be in England to see him, she would have looked at you funny and said it wasn't going to happen.

Yet here she was.

Of course, her portal ended up being early, so Jaina waited as patiently as she could with her bag slung over her shoulder, scanning the crowd like she wouldn't sense him before she saw him.

Okay fine, it was escapist and Jaina really should know better than to go the avoidant route since that seemed to catchup to her more often than not lately. Too bad. She'd probably be back in Fandom in a matter of hours anyway so avoidant only went so far here.

Once the portal had gotten her there, she immediately got to distracting herself with checking out the details of the place till she found the right apartment and knocked on the door. And tried not to fidget with the strap of her barely-packed bag because she suddenly found she was nervous.

On one hand, Jaina didn't like being distracted from the things she needed to do, and there were a lot of things. Even if she tried, she couldn't concentrate on any of it.

On the other hand... she'd mind later. Right at this moment she kind of thought whatever was going on was the best thing ever.

Curled up against John's side, she noted, "Your neighbors must hate us."

Anyone who thought that Jaina could never really go evil, killing all indiscriminately and all that, really only had to look at her this week before taking back all previous thoughts. Between the bed-breaking (which at the time had actually been funny), fight in flight club, interrupted... gymness and subsequent fire drill, any good mood she'd had at the start of the week was gone. Completely. Dammit.

At the moment she was trying to busy herself with reports, idly playing with her comlink, thumbing it on, and then thumbing it off again as she reminded herself that no, she was not allowed to go home to kill Vong in a mood like this. That was what got her into trouble in the first place.

Not that it was stopping the thought any.
