Errant Venture- Saturday Fandom time

Alema had given them the slip again, though at least there'd been a fight to show for it, so that was something for Eric to be happy about, at least. Personally Jaina was officially tired of Dark Jedi trying to kill her parents and such, but there was only so much she could do about that. The meetings afterwards to go over Alema's whereabouts on the ship and figure out exactly where things went wrong had lasted much longer than Jaina's patience, and she'd eventually excused herself claiming she needed a sanisteam and sleep.

In reality, she marched herself on over to Eric's quarters to see if he wanted to do something, anything else, because he wasn't annoying her. Really, it was that or close herself off in her own quarters to see if she could deal with that stupid Cut the Rope game that always ended in her yelling things about letting Om Nom starve. Something told her that wouldn't frustrate her less, so she was knocking on Eric's door.

Eric laughed--which came out more like a bray today than he would have preferred. "Really?"

"Yes," she said, not appreciating the braying but notice how she'd be nice and not say anything. "Complete with transforming back naked in public, so there's that."

Jaina actually found that less embarrassing than actually being a kitten.

"I see no bad in that last part," Eric said, which probably sounded creepy coming from a pony.

Just a tiny bit.

"Happened at a family dinner once. Trust me, there's bad in that," Jaina said.

Eric winced. "Okay, there's definitely bad in that."

[solo_sword]

"Bonus: you won't have to deal with that here!" Optimism!

"But it could mean going through Portalocity as a pony," Eric replied.

[solo_sword]

"Oh. Right." She struggled to find the bright side for a moment. "That just wouldn't be any fun."

No bright side.

"Plus my ID won't match my face and I can't eat anyone," Eric griped.

Guess who never got harassed by security!

"You can grab dinner when you're normal again. It'll be easier for everyone that way."

Things Jaina never thought she'd say...

"Probably," Eric said, swishing his tail in irritation. "If this lasts longer than my tickets do, I'll need you to call Tiny."

Beat.

"Assuming he still has thumbs."

"It's probably just a day or weekend thing," she assured him. "When are your tickets for?"

Eric couldn't actually remember. "Some time?"

[solo_sword]

That was what happened when you had Tiny handle your travel, probably.

"Well, I'll keep Tiny in my speed dial. And if he has hooves, then I'll call Pam. Who would probably love to hear about this anyway."

"Oh, I'm absolutely positive about that," Eric grumbled. "She'll laugh her ass off."

[solo_sword]

"She has to be getting used to this sort of thing by now," Jaina said. Like her family and friends were, sure.

"Oh, every time it happens she thinks it's hilarious," Eric grumbled.

[solo_sword]

"That's not very nice of her," Jaina teased.

"Well, Pam," Eric admitted. "She's not very nice."

It was why he loved her.

Jaina grinned. "Really? Because the first thing I think of when it comes to Pam is how pleasant she is."

Eric snorted, which really worked for him in his pony guise.

And yet Jaina refrained from 'aww'ing.

"I like her," Jaina said. "Honesty's refreshing."

"You always know where you stand with Pam," Eric agreed.

[solo_sword]

"And when I try that it usually gets me in trouble," Jaina mused.

"She also kills people without feeling guilty about it."
