Coruscant- Wednesday

It was a little strange being back home with some distance from everything that had happened. Jaina had come for her new X-wing, to visit with her family, and while she still wasn't exactly comfortable with her situation, it was nice to get back to some normal things there without all the pressure to see how she was doing and make sure she was okay.

Also among the normal things was dragging Eric along with her, because he was just fun in another galaxy. Still more normal was bringing him to a seedy little cantina where people probably wouldn't care to recognize her, because courting bar fights was sort of a thing with them. Or at least, it was a thing with Eric and Jaina was usually along for the ride.

"Just whatever happens, let's not make the news," she said, stepping inside the place.

"Tourist," she said good-naturedly.

"Me or him?" Eric asked, then tilted his head. "Possibly her?"

"You. Most of the people who find these kinds of places know where they are already. Or are only around to do something illicit, who gets them the shaky title of 'businessperson,'" she said, finding a table.

"I can be a shaky businessperson," Eric proclaimed. "Can they get me an X-Wing?"

"You don't even know how to fly," she said immediately.

"I'm an excellent speeder driver pilot," Eric said.

Eric was wrong.

"I taught you to drive, Eric," she reminded him. "I'm not sure I trust you with weapons."

"I am a weapon," Eric said, which was true even without being behind the wheel of something.

[solo_sword]

"Yes, but you can't blow up anything with the press of a button. Unless that's something you haven't told me about yet," Jaina said.

"I just haven't been given the right button," Eric complained.

[solo_sword]

"And that is why I don't trust you with weapons," she laughed.

"I'd be extremely reliable with it!"

This was not true.

[solo_sword]

"Reliable to shoot things that annoy you," she countered.

"They shouldn't have been annoying," Eric said. "Really, it's their fault."

[solo_sword]

"You're so not getting near my X-wing," Jaina decided.

[texted3times]

"And you are no fun at all," Eric declared, looking for a place to sit that didn't look like someone had leaked bodily fluids on it too recently.

[solo_sword]

"Here?" Jaina asked, being a little less picky because otherwise they'd be looking for a while. "And I am tons of fun. We're here, aren't we?"

"True," Eric said, sitting down and sprawling his legs out with reckless disregard for other people trying to get past. "Does Jag come to places like this?"

[solo_sword]

"If he has to. He was a bounty hunter for a while, it takes you to places like this," she said. "Also sometimes I drag him to one just to see what he does."

"Does he have a button to kill people with?"

Prepare for a sulky vampire, if so...

"He used to, but not anymore," Jaina told him.

She was still sorry about that...

Eric cheered right up. "Oh. Good."

Because Eric was going to compete with Jag for the remainder of both of their lives.

[solo_sword]

"It's not good," she pointed out. "Especially when it was my fault."

[texted3times]

"You took away his button?" Eric tsked. "Never take away a man's button."
