To be completely honest, Jaina had spent a large part of her visit (namely, the parts when John wasn't around) bored out of her mind. Time moved too fast for work to catch up to her here, and she was dying to find someplace she could actually practice lightsaber drills. But time alone while he was at school or training meant she was expanding her horizons a bit. Or at least it meant that she got bored enough to attempt dinner on her own, even if it was just pasta. She was relatively sure she couldn't food poison anyone with it.

"I can't stand that guy. His voice makes me want to hit him," she said. How did she actually have these opinions?

Only someone who'd watched a lot of Dr. Phil could say that. This made John chuckle. "You should just watch old sitcoms instead of the reality crap. Threaten Mitch if he tries to insist."

"I've been trying to get a variety of new things, if anything," she admitted. "Because if I go back to Fandom with something I'm addicted to watching, that will just be sad."

"You could've joined Brooke when she ws there watching her soaps," John snickered.

"If Brooke did it, I'll stay as far away as possible, thanks. Besides, I caught one once. It seemed a little too realistic for entertainment value for my tastes." Because of course, Jaina lived a soap opera. In space.

"Realistic? Tell me that doesn't mean it's realistic for my life by association?" John worried.

"You are dating a girl who's been kidnapped more times than I can count on one hand, and who had her dead twin come back to life," she reasoned.

"Oh hell," he sighed. "What should we call your program? Meet the Skywalkers?"

"It would not be televised. At least not until the FOTJ era." She paused, and added, "Oh, and my mom and uncle were twins separated at birth."

She could be coming up with this stuff all day.l

"Maybe you should watch just to get yourself some better storylines," he tried.

Jaina laughed. "I don't think it works that way. Unfortunately. Unless you know something I don't."
