Room 527, Sunday night

To be completely honest, Jaina wasn't sure why she was here. Today had been entirely messed up, and suddenly she was agreeing to meet her twenty-years-older apparent ex at his "old" room. She really did want to talk, to find out what was new and how he was, and also because anything else they usually got up to might be considered a felony here at the moment.

Taking a breath, she knocked on the door.

[For the room's owner!]

"No, I knew you would," he said, everything so familiar to his aged-self. "I don't remember you ever letting me down."

"Oh, right," he said, moving to the side to let her in. "It's all strangely the same."

"Yeah, it's strange how everyone is married with children," he said, shutting the door.

"Nope, no kids, no pets even," he said, a little quickly. "You?"

"Anakin and Luke never got you to babysit for them?" he teased.

"And miss out on the opportunity to scar their minds with stories of when their parent's were at Fandom," he shook his head.

"You tell me," he replied, cheekily.

"Interesting," he said. He certainly was different, colored by 20 years worth of experiences.

He settled onto the sofa, "Where to begin?" He wondered aloud. "Remember how you didn't think it was fair that my universe didn't have space travel?"

"Okay, well, turns out we can travel to other solar systems," he told her. "And I was part of an expedition to another galaxy that was recently brought back to Earth. So yeah, sort of strange gymnasium conversation."

"It was great. You'd love flying the puddlejumper," John said, eyes shining.

"But, we got kicked out so I'm back on Earth running missions with kids who can't keep themselves from falling in ditches."

"It's not likely to happen for a while," he shrugged. "But you know me, ever the optimist."

"So tell me more about you," he said, still amazed by how young she looked.
