Room 313, Sunday afternoon

After yesterday's trip into the common room, Jaina decided maybe she'd stick to her own room today, at least until she knew this current bout of Fandom weirdness was over. She could only deal with so much patheticness in one weekend and she was pretty sure she'd filled her quota of being yelled at, cried at and accused of liking other boys better.

So until then she was going to keep working on her homework. With the door closed.

"Are you timing it?" she asked. "Because I'm willing to just see when inpsiration strikes me again."

"That makes my watch completely unnecessary," he replied, stretching his legs out on the bed.

"I bet we would have forgotten about it anyway," she said, reaching out to pat his foot.

"With you way over there and me all the way over here," John pointed out, because dorm beds are so huge, "I'd have to agree with you."

"Was that a thinly veiled hint I heard?" she teased, tossing the notebook onto her desk.

"Would I ever hint at things?" he responded. "I was just making an observation about distance and time."

"So you would mind horribly if I moved?" she asked, turning around to push herself back to beside him.

"I would mind more if you didn't," he admitted, making space for her.

"Good thing I picked up on that not-hint," she said, leaning back on her hands and stretching her legs out in front of her.

John looked down at her with a little smile, "Think I could get that cuddle I missed out on last night? I'm not feeling sad or lonely, but it would be nice."

"Yeah," she said, smiling back and moving so that she could lean against him.

He still wasn't sure how this would've been scarring to Luke, but he wasn't about to complain. "Much better," he said, putting an arm around her. "Now we can whisper and the squirrels won't hear."

She was feeling pretty comfortable at the moment. "Whisper? About what?"

"Anything," he replied, lowering his voice. "We could plan our own emo- and tear-free slumber party.

"Having never been to one, I thought they were all supposed to be emo- and tear-free," she said, matching his volume.

"I always thought they should be," he agreed. "But then, a lot of things I thought have been proven wrong. And technically, we've had sleepovers. Granted, pajamas weren't a requirement..."

"Is that what we're calling them?" And she might have been trying to remember whether or not they ever had slept together with pajamas involved.

"Is there another word for it?" he asked.

She opened her mouth, and closed it again. "I'm not sure. I've never had to think about it before."

"Well, let me know if you do think about it," he said. "But until I hear otherwise, I'm calling it a sleepover. Maybe a naked sleepover."

"I can go along with that," Jaina decided. "It could even be used as badly-disguised code."

"Good idea," John agreed. "When we're out and I'm ready to leave I can just say, 'Hey, I think it's naked sleepover time,' and you'll know exactly what I mean."

"I think we can probably leave the 'naked' part out of the code," she laughed.

"But then it's not as funny," he grinned. "Besides, do you even own pajamas?"

"I do," she said. "What do you think I sleep in when you're not around?"
