Room 313, Thursday evening

Jaina had spent a good part of her time after classes either in the junkyard, collecting parts, or in the garage, adding them to the hoverboard, which still wasn't entirely at the hovering stage yet. Maybe she wasn't as up on how repulsors worked as she thought she was. Which was why she was trying to call Anakin (the brother, not the grandfather), but she still wasn't getting an answer.

"Next time I go to a strange planet, I'm making sure it's in a decent time zone," she muttered.

[Door's open, as is post. I demand entertainment. And maybe a song and dance.]

"What's a hoverboard?" She was more than happy to listen to the details, even if she didn't understand what Jaina was talking about. "Um, communication, ironically."

"Have you taken them apart now?" With all the parts scattered around, it was sometimes difficult to tell. "I'll keep you posted. Is everything all right with your brother, I hope?"

"I don't know about little brothers, but I'll take your word for it." She set the books on her desk, then curled up on the bed.

"They're good so far. I think Lulu really knows what she's talking about, though I almost wish I wasn't taking her class with Gavin. What about yours?"

"There's a class on shooting monsters?" Inara looked intrigued by that, if not particularly eager to take it herself. "And yes, she was. I took one over the summer with Professor Bluth, but his methods and information were too misinformed for me."

"Yes, thank you!" Inara threw her hands up in the air, "Because a misinformed and deluded student body does no one any good! Students could end up hurting each other, and making bad choices, or even making children, because he was just so wrong!"

She put her head in her hands. "I don't think I've heard less intelligent or immature discourse on any subject. He actually had us soliciting prostitutes."

"They were holograms, but the principle's the same," she grumped. "Not that there's anything wrong with prostitution, but there's a way to go about it so everyone still has their dignity."

"It was a disgrace," she said firmly. "So far this class doesn't seem like that."

"That would be nice."
