Jaina spent a very good portion of her morning in the flight shed, which had become so far habit by now it wasn't even funny. She'd run through stuff, call home, and on to the next thing. Today the next thing was going to be the gym, feeling like she'd been neglecting it. And with the way things were, she couldn't afford to get lazy in any one area of her training.

So for now, it was back to her room to change.

After class, Jaina had gotten in some time in the flight shed, which was nothing unusual. She'd just wanted to blast some things away, really. It was cathartic. She hadn't been too social this weekend, though it did seem like half her galaxy was slowly making its way into town. Also, that guy who looked like her dad. Ben was the part she still couldn't get over, though, and while she would never ever voice the thought, she was almost relieved that he was from an alternate reality and not her future. She felt horrible about it, because that was a reality where Jacen had survived, but she didn't like the way it sounded for anyone involved, really. So, basically this weekend had brought up a lot of things she hadn't wanted to think about.

When she got back to her room, she started going over her handouts from class. She wasn't a notetaker at all, but something told her she could really use something that came from at least one of her classes.

[Open door, open post.]

Jaina was still not usd to this whole mom to alternate universe children thing (and it had to be an alternate universe, because cute as they were, she was not going there for a very long, long time), but the thing that surprised her most was how easily the twins had accepted why John and Jaina didn't know them. Good to know Fandom could train future generations for weird.

Since they'd be camping out in John's room, fort and all, Jaina decided she'd just grab some things from her room now so she wouldn't have to keep going up and back. And she had Jaryd accompanying her, since he was already bored and wanted to wander and she wasn't sure she wanted to see John left alone with both of them for that long anyway. Which was why she was sort of really hoping this very temporary.

[For the kid, and if the roomie wants to ping in before they leave.]

When Jaina got back to her room, she found a few packages outside her door. She hadn't expected anything, considering she still had zero idea what the holiday was even about, but she appreciated it. And upon going inside and opening them, she realized that this was another one of those things she could never tell her aunt about Luke.

The common room and the former six or seven feet of hair that she'd spent a really large portion of her Christmas Eve chopping into a reasonable length above her shoulders had kept her busy for a while, but she wasn't doing well giving herself any time to think. There were things she was very specifically trying to avoid thinking about, thanks. Alone time wasn't conducive to avoidance.

how avoiding stuff totally equals doing potentially stupid things )

With the time change she didn't quite understand, Jaina had seen an opportunity to get some more sleep and have a nice easy day. This didn't work out as planned, though, as her body and brain had both decided they'd already had the required amount of sleep, thanks, and she'd gotten up to go and practice some drills because it was much less boring than laying there.

When she got back and cleaned up, she was almost tempted to head down to the garage for a while. Maybe it was the recent transmissions home or certain conversations she'd been having lately, but she was getting a bit restless knowing there was nothing she could do from here. It was a new feeling, one she didn't like, and while she knew she should probably learn to deal with it, she didn't see that happening. Still, staying in for five more minutes was showing an effort, right?

Waking up with someone she didn't recognize while not knowing her own name or where she was or why she was where she'd been was bad, yes. Finding out this didn't just apply to her and John was bad, too.

But still not knowing and not having any way of finding the information was making Jaina seriously Annoyed. It was like whoever she was didn't own much of anything that hadn't once been a piece of something, and would it be so hard for her to do something like keep a journal?

At the moment, she was still digging through her side of the room, trying to find any tiny scrap of definitive information she could. Okay, she'd been over this before and she knew she wouldn't find anything she hadn't already, but taking things apart and messing up the things she didn't know she'd just cleaned up last week was kind of therapeudic.

[Door's open! And oh look, so is the post! Funny how that happens.]

Jaina had spent a good part of her time after classes either in the junkyard, collecting parts, or in the garage, adding them to the hoverboard, which still wasn't entirely at the hovering stage yet. Maybe she wasn't as up on how repulsors worked as she thought she was. Which was why she was trying to call Anakin (the brother, not the grandfather), but she still wasn't getting an answer.

"Next time I go to a strange planet, I'm making sure it's in a decent time zone," she muttered.

[Door's open, as is post. I demand entertainment. And maybe a song and dance.]

After being dropped off by the transport, Jaina headed back to the dorms and to her room. Given what she'd heard about time passing differently outside of Fandom sometimes, she wasn't sure how long she'd been gone by this town's time, but she really hoped it hadn't been so long that she wasn't supposed to be in this room anymore.

Well, if she wasn't... too bad. She opened the door, dumped her things at the foot of her bed, and crawled onto it to relax.

[I'll be on and off today, but open if you don't mind sp, especially for the roomie.]

Jaina was disappointed to have to pack up her things from Chupacabra, but she knew the cabins couldn't last forever. She brought her stuff back to 313- and she did remember her room number, great- and realized that the things she'd dumped in the room her first day are still all in a pile against the wall. So, putting everything down, she took whatever side of the room is closest and started unloading.

[Door and post are open!]

It took her a week, but Jaina finally spent some time with her comlink updating Jacen on some of the things that had been going on. There were a few things she left out (you know, different versions of their uncle and his astromech and also the commanding officer of Rogue Squadron being here, meeting a most-likely-long-dead-by-now Jedi from the past, their grandfather being alive and atoning for stuff and also seeming to like her flying, Siegfried and Roy, and the fact that she'd already had a date), focusing instead on the people she was meeting and her workshops and her big sister and roommate and her cabinmates and how had she met so many people already?

Jacen hadn't been able to talk much about what he was doing, which was disappointing, but she knew that would have to happen. It was also probably the main reason that as soon as they'd ended the call, she got out her multitool to start fixing the other two comlinks she had to give to people. Dammit, she wanted more information without having to wait for someone to send her something.

She was very focused, and could probably use a distraction.

[My net connection is working for the time being. So if you wanna bother her, feel free. Also, will be a linkdrop when I get to it.]
