Room 313, Sunday afternoon

With the time change she didn't quite understand, Jaina had seen an opportunity to get some more sleep and have a nice easy day. This didn't work out as planned, though, as her body and brain had both decided they'd already had the required amount of sleep, thanks, and she'd gotten up to go and practice some drills because it was much less boring than laying there.

When she got back and cleaned up, she was almost tempted to head down to the garage for a while. Maybe it was the recent transmissions home or certain conversations she'd been having lately, but she was getting a bit restless knowing there was nothing she could do from here. It was a new feeling, one she didn't like, and while she knew she should probably learn to deal with it, she didn't see that happening. Still, staying in for five more minutes was showing an effort, right?

"It's a sport, supposedly. Something with brooms and ice. I think I'm going to be surprised if it turns out to be a real thing," she confessed.

"You're sure this isn't just some excuse to watch other people sweep the ice clean?"

"No, I'm not," she said. "But I'm surprised he remembered and I'm sure we'll have fun anyway. Even if it's watching people sweep the ice clean."

"You'll let me know what it's like?" She asked hopefully. "Unless there are personal details, and obviously you should keep those to yourself. I don't mean to pry, of course."

"Yeah, those, um." She cleared her throat. "I'll let you know the rest."

"Thank you. The curling sounds like it could be very interesting, even if it does make me wonder about this time much more than I ever did."

"It kind of makes me wonder about this planet. People must have been really bored."

"I can't argue with that. When are you going?"

"Thursday after classes. So if I end up so enthralled by the game that I need to find another immediately, I don't have to worry about classes the next day," she said.

Laughing, she said, "I see it now. We'll have to put you into some kind of treatment for your curling addiction."

"You know, i don't think my grandfather would ever stop boggling," she decided.

"Maybe it could turn into something you could share together?" She suggested.

Jaina had to laugh a little at that. "You have met him, right?"

She nodded, "Of course. I think he needs some levity."

Suddenly remembering her grandfather's taste in music, she said, "And now I kind of want to bring him a stuffed Ewok. That's not a good idea to have."
