George Washington Masonic Memorial- Alexandria, VA- Saturday night

Sometime after the cheer had been had and people had been appropriately soaked, there was a trip into Alexandria, and specifically a little monument. Which, yes, Jaina found pretty cool, even if she's used to seeing monuments. It wasn't stuck on top of another monument, to begin with. That automatically put it in the plus category.

"This is pretty impressive," she admitted. "And I'm not even entirely sure what it is."

"I can't wait to see that finished." John quite liked skateboarding and hover boarding had to be better.

"When it is, I might have to let you try it out," she offered.

"That would be great," John smiled. "Where'd you learn to build things like that?"

"My dad, mainly," she said with a little shrug. "I actually know a lot of mechanically-inclined people, but he has this old ship that's always breaking down, so I started helping fix it when he'd let me, and then branched out. It's one of those fun hobbies."

"Wow, so you grew up with space ships?" John was impressed. Here he'd always just wanted to fly around in the air. Space had always been a bit out of reach. "That must have been fun."

"It is," she said, smiling. And made a mental note to get that transport pod up because she kind of missed being in space. "So you remember the X-wings from Flight and Flying? I fly one of those back home."

"Those were really cool," John grinned, totally envious and thinking he really needed to get his regular pilot's license finished already. "That workshop was great. I kinda wish they offered an expanded version for the fall."

"Definitely. I know some of the ships in the simulations, but not nearly all of them," she said. "Maybe if I ask really nicely, he'll bring it back."

"If not, we can always put something about the simulator in the suggestion box," John snickered.

Jaina chewed her lip thoughtfully. "I might be able to get the keys."

"Oh?" John was intrigued.

"I'd have to ask nicely, and I don't want to push things by stealing them," she said, and that was the first time she'd ever said that. But she didn't want to piss off the former Sith lord who could, in theory, ground her. "But I might be able to swing it."

"You are a good person to know, Jaina," he mused. "Very resourceful." Not to mention hot.

"I know the right people," she nodded. "And if I didn't, that's when I'd have to try stealing the keys."

"I like your attitude," John smiled. "I don't know whether to hope he gives you the keys or not. I've been wanting to give theft a try ever since Treasure Hunting."

"Is that where you learned all your stealth?"

John smirked, "Nah, it comes naturally for me to be stealthy like a 747 on a clear day."

"So," she said, just curious at how he'd answer, "what's the best thing you've done while being oh so stealthy?"

Since John couldn't tell her his shining moment of FH stealth, he went for the next best. "Well, my buddy and I used to sneak out and hustle pool on the weekends at my old school," John offered.

"Good use of it," she said. "What's pool?"

"It's a game where you use geometry to hit balls into pockets with really big sticks," he said. Thinking better he added, "On a table."

"That's got to be really interesting when it goes wrong," she decided. "Sounds interesting. You any good?"

"Well, I'm what they call a pool shark," John grinned proudly.

"Meaning I'm good, yes."

"I'd dare you to prove it, but I think I'd be a pretty easy mark," she said. "And now I know you're a pool shark, so that kind of ruins the surprise."
