To the casual observer, Jaina was working on her project for her inventions class, brainstorming over a notebook. In reality, she was trying to distract herself. Huge shock.

With famous galaxy-saving, galaxy-leading, descended-from-adoptive-royalty/ ex-assassin/ex-smuggler relatives, she'd always been aware she didn't have the most normal family. Considering her own tendencies to follow in their footsteps, she even knew she didn't help matters there. Still, being here made that harder, where she had to question people to make sure they weren't related to her upon first meeting. It did strike her as weird that she could think about the welfares of two sets of Skywalker twins now. And then when she thought she finally had a handle on things, all she had to do was think the words "nineteen-year-old alternate reality step-grandmother" and there went that.

Hence, distraction.
