Room 313, Saturday afternoon

After last night's trip to the common room, Jaina was still cracking up internally. Sorry, but now she had enough mocking opportunities for John, Karal and Gavin to last her for a good long time.

And she was pretty much getting ready to attempt tracking them down to do so, definitely knowing where to start.

"Depends on the species," Jaina answered. "Though yours are just fine the way they are. All two of them."

He pushed aside questions about aliens as now was not the time. "They do clap together nicely," he said.

"They do a lot of things nicely," she agreed.

"Were you looking for a demonstration?" he asked.

"I thought you'd been giving one," she smiled.

"I seem to be failing at the moment," he frowned.

"Pretty easily fixed," she reminded him.

He brushed his fingertips over her cheek, "Like this?"

Her eyes fluttered closed briefly, and she said, "Good start."

He moved both hands to cup her face and kissed her very briefly. "Better?"

"Getting there," she said, kissing his lower lip just as briefly.

He slid his hands down to the side of her shoulders. "You'll tell me when we're there?"

"I'll let you know," she said, and scooted a little closer.

He moved so he was situated mostly in front of her and bent forward to kiss her.

She kissed him back, sliding her arms around his waist, because she'd just gone too long without touching him.

He slid his hands onto her back, not breaking the kiss as he moved himself closer.

If she pulled herself any closer, she was probably going to end up in his lap. She let her hands roam over his back, trying to lean into the kiss more.

Never averse to closer, he tried pulling her onto his lap when she leaned into the kiss.

She wasn't adverse to it, either, making herself comfortable and enjoying the fact that this put them more at the same level.

If asked, he would say he'd done it for the sake of his back and neck, yes. In reality, he enjoyed the closeness and the ease of access.

Whatever the reason, she didn't mind, moving her arms to snake them around his neck.

He responded by moving his hands down to her waist, kneading lightly with his thumbs.

She made a soft contented sound, scratching her nails lightly over his back.

Liking the sound, he smiled into the kiss. Then he began stroking a thumb under the hem of her shirt

She just couldn't get tired of him touching her skin, and added a little more pressure to his lips, encouraging.
