Tomorrow I get on a plane for two weeks in South Africa! Yay me! I have been told I will have internet at lodges, but it's spotty, and I'm pretty sure I'm not actually going to know what day it is so I can't be trusted to do anything reliably. So all my girls are going home for that time. Rey's doing Resistance stuff, Kitty's doing X-Men stuff, Jaye is off to do part of the world's longest canon catchup, and while I'm going to try to get Jaina's class up while traveling, if I can't then let's just say she's involved in some Empress crisis. And who even knows where the hell Alexis has been. I might be able to get Discord to load, I might be able to post some catchup stuff, we shall see!

I'm absolutely going to spend two weeks calling it a "sa-fare-ee" like Sadie Doyle and doing the "No! A leopard! No! An elephant! No! A hyeeeeena!" thing and no one I'm with is gonna get it.

I have no idea wtf happened to my computer, but it decided it was going to read all the program applications on my desktop as Adobe files, and when I decided I'd try to open the Explorer app with Internet Explorer, it turned all the applications into Explorer files that make me try to download the app as a link that doesn't exist. (Though I'm running a virus sweep and the sweep is running fine but the icon says Internet Explorer. See, I have no idea.) I'M HAVING A FUN NIGHT REALLY.

This might be an unnecessary post, since I can get Firefox and Pidgin and stuff if I use previous files, but I don't know how long before those get deleted off or whatever. Plus I can't seem to restore anything and it's looking like I can't afford to bring the computer in to be fixed yet. So this can serve as my "just in case I poke something that screws everything up worse" notice that I hopefully won't need. At the very least I expect to not be around a ton/totally distracted on Wednesday as I try to fix this without throwing anything.

And if anyone is using a Windows 7 Starter (which is different than the full Windows 7) and has any idea how to restore my system, please please please email me because I have no idea wtf I am doing.

So! I am soon to head off to the airport for my second trip of June, this time home to Chicago! Those of you in this game long enough probably know what this means from me. I'll be aroundish, but prone to needing to go on SP on short notice, and while I have an idea of my plans from day to day, they are always subject to change.

Since I'll be aroundish (and cuz I learned my lesson last week when I sent everyone away and had more downtime than planned), no one's going to be leaving this time. Kitty's around, and her roomie can mod her in or out as need be, Adrian is his guardians' problem, and Jaina'll be around but quiet. Let's say she's working like a mofo.

I get back July 5, and believe you me when I say I will make myself available for newbie day. *shakes fist*

Omg I've been doing a lot of traveling this year, huh? I'm going to be gone again, as I am just about to leave for a weekend in DC! I'll be back on Monday night, but the hotel I'm staying at doesn't have free net in the rooms, so I can only get online if I wanna sit in the lobby, and I don't see myself being around a ton anyway.

So. Jaina is visiting John and can be modded at will, Mirax is home for the weekend, Angela escaped to home for the weekend, Aeryn's off island anyway and Lily totes can squish spiders for Marshall all he wants. I should be able to ping the kids in to classes and work and yadda yadda yadda.

And so everyone is aware, why yes, I did use fh_trips to figure out where I wanted to go. Sad or awesome? You decide.

Tomorrow morning I get on a plane to go home for my friend's wedding shower. And while I'm sure there are times I'll be able to pop online, I'm scheduled pretty tight so I don't expect to be doing much in the way of playing till I get back Monday night. It's pretty much the anti-vacation. (On the plus side, I always feel really popular when I go home.) So for the time being, Jaina's a kitten (as I can't pass up any opportunity to do so), and the rest of my girls are just going to be quieter, with SO's and roommates having modding rights.

And now back to my regular scheduled running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but way less ew-inducing.

But not for me! This is for Nick, aka laidanegg and assorted others! He says he's sure there are places he was expected to be IG today, such as classes and all, but he will be slightly absent as I badgered him into going to the Obama rally at Grant Park. YES, INTERNETS, YOU WILL BE REPRESENTED THROUGH NICK.

(Also I need to tone down the excitement some as I have SUCH A HEADACHE but I have had nothing but free caffeine and sugar today.)
