Room 313, Saturday afternoon

After last night's trip to the common room, Jaina was still cracking up internally. Sorry, but now she had enough mocking opportunities for John, Karal and Gavin to last her for a good long time.

And she was pretty much getting ready to attempt tracking them down to do so, definitely knowing where to start.

His hand was just drawing invisible lines right above her knee. Nothing to see here. "I'm free as a bird," he informed her.

"Hm," she said thoughtfully. "So just a nice lazy day?"

"Nice lazy week, actually," he corrected her. Because really, he had nothing to do until the parents started arriving.

"That's right," she said, remembering. "I have no idea what to do with all that free time."

"I'm sure you'll think of something interesting," he replied thoughtfully.

"I could spend the entire week in the garage," she mused. She wouldn't and she knew it. That was only work she did when she was bored, and she hadn't been that for a while.

"I could always come down to the garage and help you out," by standing there and looking pretty. He was good at that.

"I wouldn't mind that," she said. Which went for whether he actually helped or did stand there, looking pretty.

"What with that super comfortable floor down there," he grinned. "It must be a good place to get work done."

"Usually it is," Jaina nodded. "It might also depend on the kind of work..."

"What kind will you be doing?" he asked.

"I'm not sure yet. I still have to do some testing on the hoverboard, but maybe something new will strike me," she told him.

"Sounds like fun," he said, hand drifting higher on her thigh. "Count me in."

She bit her lip to keep from smiling, but asked teasingly, "Am I actually going to get any work done while you're there?"

"I can be helpful," he protested. "But I make no guarantees about amount of work accomplished." Because yeah, that would be tough.

"There's something to be said for honesty. Now at least we know that going in," she said, though she'd expected as much. She knew how they were by now, which was why she hadn't made any move to stop his hand.

"Uh huh," he said, a little distracted by her leg. He didn't know what was wrong with him that he just couldn't keep his hands to himself.

Jaina smiled, still watching him. "Having fun?"

"Yep," he said, and then looked up to see her watching him. "Maybe not?"

The smile was still there. "Why maybe not?"

"That depends on your enjoyment," he replied, trying for cute and possibly failing.

Jaina thought it was cute, at least. "I'm enjoying it," she assured him. She couldn't think of a time when she hadn't enjoyed him touching her, actually.

"Then I'll change my 'maybe not' to a 'definitely,'" he grinned, moving his fingers in circles on her thigh. "I'll focus here and you tell me about something you find fascinating."

"Besides what you're doing?" she asked, still pretty focused.

"Yes," he said, looking up. "Because that would just be commentary."
