Room 313, Saturday afternoon

After last night's trip to the common room, Jaina was still cracking up internally. Sorry, but now she had enough mocking opportunities for John, Karal and Gavin to last her for a good long time.

And she was pretty much getting ready to attempt tracking them down to do so, definitely knowing where to start.

"Mostly to tease her," he admitted.

"That's not very nice," she told him, though if it was true, she definitely had it coming.

"You think I should tell her outright?" he asked, serious look on his face.

"I think you should," she said, just as serious.

"I'll give it a try," he told her.

He rubbed his hand over her leg and smiled, "So, have I mentioned I find you very attractive?"

"Really? I had no idea," she said, as innocently as possible while trying not to watch his hand on her leg. She really did kind of like hearing it, though.

"Uh huh," he rubbed a hand over her knee. "The word amazing comes to mind."

Jaina had never thought herself to be the kind of girl who could be swayed by words like that, but here she was. It helped that she thought he meant them. "I think you're trying to flatter me now," she said quietly.

"That's not my style," he said, because he'd meant what he'd said, even if he'd done it badly. "But you know that."

"Yeah," she said, leaning forward to cup his cheek in her hand. "I know."

"Good to hear," he said, leaning into her hand.

Putting her other hand down on the bed to pull herself forward more, she leaned in to kiss his cheek.

He smiled when she kissed his cheek, "I'm glad I came down here."

"So'm I," she said. "I might have gotten bored without you."

"Not doing anything with your boxes of parts today?" he asked, tracing a pattern just above her knee.

"I think I can hold off on that today," she answered. "Why?"

"Just wondering," he said, continuing the idle motion.

"Did you have plans?" she asked, paying attention to what he was doing with his hand.

His hand was just drawing invisible lines right above her knee. Nothing to see here. "I'm free as a bird," he informed her.

"Hm," she said thoughtfully. "So just a nice lazy day?"

"Nice lazy week, actually," he corrected her. Because really, he had nothing to do until the parents started arriving.

"That's right," she said, remembering. "I have no idea what to do with all that free time."

"I'm sure you'll think of something interesting," he replied thoughtfully.

"I could spend the entire week in the garage," she mused. She wouldn't and she knew it. That was only work she did when she was bored, and she hadn't been that for a while.

"I could always come down to the garage and help you out," by standing there and looking pretty. He was good at that.
